Thoughts to ponder

Last night BF and I had a serious talk. I wouldn't say all went well but at least we're ok. After the serious talk we chat about much lighter things. The one that came up which made me happy was the idea of buying a DSLR. I am so fond of taking pictures. My officemates always tease me about it. BF gave me the go signal. I should buy daw something that I really want regardless of the price. A personal investment. Well, a camera is not a bad thing really. I was able to feel the DSLR during my cousin's birthday party. My uncle owned a canon eos 1000d and my aunt let me take a few shots with it. I so love the feel of it! Now, my problem would be if I am brave enough to spend money on it. I have to talk to my father about it 'coz I don't want to use up my savings. I was thinking of borrowing money and then pay him on installment plan. Without interest of course *LOL*! Hopefully he'll lend me the money so I can the camera before our Christmas party scheduled on December 13.

Much awaited movie

I have finished reading the twilight series books by Stephenie Meyer. I enjoyed every moment of it. I never had this much enthusiasm in reading since the Harry Potter series. Now that I know what had become of the Bella and Edward love story, I am very excited for the movie.

We were at the mall yesterday. We passed by the cinemas and stopped at a tv monitor which plays the trailer of the movie. Then it flashed the date of the showing of the movie. November 26. November 26?! What?! The schedule in the internet says that the movie will be shown here on November 21! What happened? We asked the girl at the counter why the change in schedule. She just told us that the date has been moved. Moved? As if November 21 is not long enough they had to extend it to November 26.

Oh well, I guess we really have to wait that long.

Check out the trailers and more about the movie here...

Best Birthday Gift ever!

I was so ecstatic to receive the best birthday gift I could ever receive.

Here's the story....

October 18, Saturday. Ason and I went to Midtown Robinson's Place Ermita to look for something that I would like him to give me for my birthday. I really have no specific thing in mind. The mall was having a 3-day sale at the time. Maybe it would be the last for this year since christmas season is fast approaching. Anyway, I went through most the shops. I was thinking clothes would be the safest thing I could ask for. But too bad, I never found anything I want, not even close to anything I like. When I went looking for Ason (we separated, he looked for things he could buy) I found him eating halo-halo at Razon's. After then we went to midtown. I checked out a few stores but was unsuccessful. Then I had an idea. I was going crazy about twilight and I have only read the first book. I need to have the last 3 books. I told him that that is what I wanted. It was very hard to find a copy of these books. All of the bookstores that I went to have no stocks. He told me he'll check out at Sta. Rosa if they have stocks.

After we finished at Robinson's, we went to Harrison Plaza. He need to make some transactions at the bank. Instead of going with him, I went to national bookstore. As expected , no stocks! I was already hungry at that time so went to MOA and ate at President's Tea house. I was so full but not that satisfied, maybe because I wanted to eat at Almon Marina but he doesn't want to. After dinner, I strolled a while, alone, in the mall. I passed by Fully Booked and saw the poster of the release of the Breaking Dawn. That poster wasn't there when I went a day before. I was tempted to check it out. And to my my surprise, there was this table full of twilight series books! Complete from book 1 to 4! I was so excited. I called Ason immediately and asked him to go back to buy me the books! I couldn't remove the smile on my face, I was so happy! I've never been so excited as this! I will get to read the whole Edward and Bella Story! Aside from the original books, there was this special edition twilight book with a free movie poster! Ason asked me if I wanted that too. I do want it but refused because I already have the first book. As for the poster, I have tons of pictures in the computer back home so there really is no need for that.

I felt like a fool, smiling while walking. Of course I have a reason but the people that passed by me doesn't know that.

All in all, the best birthday gift ever! Not expensive but I consider it my most priced possession as of the moment.

Twilight

This is going to be a long post...

About a week ago, my youngest sister isay, have been talking nonstop about this book her friends were reading. The book by Stephenie Meyer is entitled Twilight, which will soon be a major motion picture. I got curious. I thought there was already a movie by that title and when I narrated to her the movie she said it wasn't that. Hhmmm...still curious.

I was surprised when I got home last friday. My sister bought the book, which took forever to buy because every bookstore ran out of stock. She already started reading but I interrupted her because again of my curiosity. I wanted to be the first one to finish it which is most likely because i'm a fast reader.

After reading the first chapter I was hooked! I couldn't let it down. More than I got hooked with Harry Potter and Match me if you can. I stopped reading around 2 am, not because i'm already tired nor sleepy but because I needed to sleep. I have already finished half of the book!

The sun was up saturday morning and the first thing I did was to continue reading. My sister and I had plans to go Trinoma to look for a dress to wear on my cousin's debutante party. Laziness and the urge to finish the book got the best of me so we went to Robinsons Manila instead (bringing the book of course). We weren't able to find a dress so I decided to have my hair treated (which will be elaborated in another post).

We went home and my reading still continued. Every chapter seemed like the climax, you really have to read the next to end the suspense. I was saddened to see that i'm almost finished. 2 am came and I finished it. I have never felt so kilig! Since the movie is coming out soon and knowing who will play each character, it's so easy to imagine.

I can't wait for the movie this coming November 21. I'll be posting about it another time. I have so many things to say about the movie! I will include the trailer and some of the character's photos.

Cerealicious

I found a new, yummy and healthy snack. Cereals with a twist at Cerealicious! Located at 3rd flr of Midtown Robinson's Place Ermita.
My sisters introduced me to this cute store last sunday. I was amazed. Aside from the very colorful motif of the store, there were so many cereals to choose from. But what really caught my attention was the name of their products. Movie names! They even have posters! If you only have a small appetite you can choose trailer (small size). If you're really craving for cereals better order blockbuster (large size). There are so many variants to choose from. I've only tasted 3 (took a bite from my sisters *LOL*) so I will definitely come back to try the others.
Now Showing..

Here are the others..

Karma

I've always believed in Karma. May it be good or bad (mostly bad. *LOL*). Whenever somebody hurts me or did something bad to me I leave it all up to karma. Last sunday I was walking in the mall on my way home when a girl approached me. She asked me if I could give her money so she could get home. She lost her wallet and needed 60 pesos to get home to fairview. Being very maawain I gave her money.

I never told anyone about the incident. Most of them would tell me na naloko lang ako. It doesn't matter, if she just fooled me into giving her money shame on her. Karma will get to her.

This is what I think when I gave her money. If I am in the girl's position I would hope someone would help me the same way I helped her. It takes a lot of guts to ask someone for money. Some people do that to earn easy money. I'm just happy because I have done a good deed. It's been a long time na..

New Shoes

My aunt (Tita Chie) came back from Singapore yesterday. She was there for two weeks to take care of my Tita Dang who had an operation because of cysts found in her ovaries. Thank God the operation was a success.

Tita Dang was the one who gave me the pair of sneakers before. Since I like her style, I asked her if she still has an extra pair because the one she gave me is already worn out. I'm very much ok with a hand-me-down sneakers but my tita is very generous. She bought me a new one. It's her gift na for my birthday. It's a lacoste sneakers! It's so cute! I so love it. Very funky, very cool. The left shoe is a bit yellowish because it's the last pair. They had no time to go to other shops because my tita's wound was hurting. No prob for me. I just nedd to wash and scrub it and it will be as good as new.

Here is my cutie shoes..

Wouldn't you agree?

Day Off

It's been way too long since i've seen my high school barkada. Our houses are located in the same city but we can't seem to find time to meet. Rizza works night shift, Lara is very active in Singles for Christ, Aillen, well she's just waiting for us to set a date.

I miss them. We call each other sisters. and since it was Rizza's birthday last Sunday, I forced them to take time off so we can spend some time together and chat. Sunday is the only free time the four of us have so we set the date and the time (6-7 at SM MOA).

BF and I attended the 5 PM mass so by 6:15 I was already at MOA. I had to buy a few things so it's ok for me to wait. But grabe, they arrived at 8 pm! My feet were hurting from too much walking.
We grabbed dinner at greenwich 'coz Lara was craving for Pizza. Had a little chat about the latest chikas from our HS community. Who got married? Who is still together? Those kind of stuff.
After the chat, we went to San Miguel by the Bay to hang-out and take pictures. We were supposed to have coffee but were still full from what we ate at dinner so we decided na magkulitan na lang. Here are some of our takes.

Match me if you can

I love reading books! Whenever i get my hands on a good book i couldn't let it down. Last weekend I found one. My sister's friend borrowed my "Veronika Decides to Die" book. In return my sister borrowed her book. I've seen it lying around the house. Because I'm busy and always tired when i get home, i've ignored it. Last sunday i got bored and was left alone in the house. I couldn't stand staying too long in front of the computer so I decided to read the book instead. After the first chapter my eyes were glued on the book. I almost forgot I haven't eaten lunch yet.

So what's so interesting about this book? It's a romantic story with a touch of comedy. I felt so kilig while reading. I finished it within 3 days. I read it when i get home from work. So imagine how long I stay up just to read. When I finished it I was so happy but sad at the same time. The story itself can possibly happen in real life. The guy in the story I should say is what all of us girls are looking for in a husband or partner. Someone who would forget about his work when it comes to you. Haayy... Sana ganyan din si BF..*LOL* He's too focus on his work and their business kasi e. But in fairness, he makes time for me. Un nga lang palaging nagmamadali *LOL.*

Anyways, hope you could find time and a copy of the book. BTW, it's called Match me if you can by Suzanne Philips.
