Future worries

It's been like forever since I had my last OT. We have very few productions these days and also at risk of losing half of the order of our biggest customer. I don't know if I should be happy or sad. Maybe I feel both. Happy because I get to have plenty of rest and time for my board exam review. Sad because we are undercompensated and only our OT pay keeps us alive..I wanted to leave this company not because I don't like my work or the people around me. Actually, the people I work with has a big influence on my decision of staying here. Only my salary bothers me. I'm not materialistic but if I'm going to have my own family, my earnings wouldn't be enough to provide my needs and the needs of my family. I'm planning to leave the company i'm currently working for after I pass my licensure exam. But i'm still not sure. Something or should I say someone is holding me back *lol*. I'll just have to wait and see what will happen after I pass the board exam. Hopefully I will.

Ride of my Life

It's been a long time since i've seen my college barkada (except for maan who I see almost everyday). Since most of us is celebrating our birthday this month we've decided to go out and celebrate (siyempre taya ang celebrators *lol*). One celebration na lang para tipid. We first met up at MOA then went to Huey Ying restaurant. It took a long time for them to serve us our food kasi there were so many customers. Normally, the soup will be served first. That time it was served last kasi naipit daw. We were almost done when the soup was served. Syempre hindi naman kami makapagreklamo kasi it is my BF's family's resto. We still ate the sinigang na miso but half of it tinake-out na lang. For our dessert, GJ bought us a cake at chocolat. We were already full at that time so we only took 2 slices para lang matikman ung cake. I'm not really fond of chocolate but when I tasted this one, parang nakalimutan kong hindi ako mahilig sa chocolate. Sobrang sarap!!! to the highest level. No joke. We were arguing kung sino magtatake home. But since 2 of the celebrators are going to sleepover at our house, sa amin napunta ung cake. Yipee!!!*lol*.

Chinkee, Cha and Harry

Our initial plan talaga was to go to star city afterwards, special request ni chinkee. But on our way to the seaside, we saw that the global fun carnival located beside moa was already open, so we decided to go there instead. And besides baka hindi na rin nagpapasok sa star city. It was their opening day so they took 30% off on ride all you can price. Supposedly, we are to pay 300, with the discount, we only paid 210. There were only a few people inside, and there were only few rides. We first rode the mini roller coaster. At first we were very excited. The 4 of us took the last cart, Jhonna and I were sitted at the back seat. On the way down the steep slope, bigla na lang tumaas ung nakapatong sa dibdib namin, that was supposed to protect us from falling. We tried to pull it down but were unsuccessful. Nagpanic kami. We have to really hang on to to the handle to prevent us from falling. When we passed by the operators, they secured it. Parang sinisi pa nila kami. As if we intentionally pulled it up. After that, we told the operators to secure it for the next passengers.

That ride was really scary in terms of safety ha. Our next ride, carousel *lol*. Almost everyone in the carnival were carrying stuff toys. In fairness cute ung stuffed toys, unlike sa star city *lol*. So we decided to try one game. It's a bit expensive, 50 pesos per game. We chose the game where you will get a floating duck using a stick with a hook on the end. If there is something on the bottom of the duck, then you will get a stuff toy. You have 2 chances.

Here I am trying to get a floating ducky. Unfortuntely, I didn't get any toy.

After the game, we tried the swing. At first it was ok but when we were spinning too fast I was worried. What if biglang maputol ung kadena? Saan ako pupulutin? I just prayed for it to end. When at last the swing came to a stop, I took my slippers then left. When we joined our friends who didn't try the ride they said my swing was spinning from all directions. Others were spinning only on one direction. Kaya pala hilo ako. My eyes were shut the whole time. The carnival is open only up to 12 midnight. It was already 11:30, so we decided to take the last ride, the flipper. The ride took 2 minutes to finish. It was the most scariest ride we've tried. It seemed as if we were spinning so fast our heads might be cut off. We never tried the ranger where you will be hanged upside down. I wouldn't dare try that one. After the ride two of my friends vomitted. Their stomachs were not in good condition before the ride but still went to try it. Harry was laughing and was making fun of chinkee and maan. He even took pictures of them while puking but I wouldn't post that here.

Before the scary ride started.

The two girls smiling. The other two vomitting.

Anyways, for those who will go to global fun carnival to try their rides make sure your stomach is not full or else you might end up getting home early.

Craving for Pasta

Every payday, maan (my co-qc staff), collects 50 pesos from each of us as a contribution to our birthday fund. Whenever there is a birthday celebration, we use that money to go out and celebrate. This is only applicable for those who contributes..*lol*. This month, we are celebrating my birthday and ate eden's. We were supposed to eat at Hula-Hula in West Gate but was craving for pasta so we went to Don Henricos instead. We ordered pizza, pasta, fries and of course the buffalo chicken (yummy! *lol*). We weren't able to able to bring our digital camera so I used my camera phone instead to take some shots. So here it is..

Glorietta Tragedy

It was around three in the afternoon when our boss told us that there was an explosion in glorietta. He learned about this because his wife was in glorietta that time, shopping (pashopping-shopping na lang, kainggit *lol*). He said he was scared and wanted to go back to Japan. If you ask me, he was over reacting because he was supposed to treat us after his wife left for Japan (ayaw lang manlibre *lol*). I've learned that most casualties was brought to makati med. My sister works at makati med as a medtech, so I immediately asked for details. That time, there were 4 dead bodies in the morgue. She saw them with her own eyes, she said it's gruesome. One body, that of a woman (foreigner I think) was twisted and badly burned. Others you wouldn't even recognize because of burns and debris on their faces. This happened friday. Saturday, my BF and I were supposed to go there so he could buy me a gift for my birthday. Luckily, the tragedy did not happen that day. Madalas pa man din kami sa area na un. Despite that, I still grieve for those who have lost their love ones in the tradegy. Who would ever know that that time was their last time to shop

Two days after the said bombing ( I heard from a report this morning that investigators think that it's only an accident. Gas leak? I don't think so. There was no fire!), another tragedy happened. Still in glorietta. This time it was a fire. The paluto retaurant at G4 was burned. A lot of people panicked. Good thing, the fire was quickly put out.

Two tragedy. Same place, in the same week. A series of bad luck for Glorietta mall.

I love scrap

Eversince I saw my officemate's friendster I was immediately interested with digital scrapbooking. Hers is only simple, so I searched the internet to learn more about digital scrapbooking. I also was able to download free digital scrapbook kits here. As a beginner, it takes a lot of time and patience to make one (lalo na kung mabagal ang PC *lol*). Next time ko na iuupload ung mga nagawa ko dito, di ko pa nasasave sa USB. I've also searched some sites where you can find freebies for digital scrapbooking. Some sites require you to be a member in order to get their freebies. Some just gives it away *lol*. Those of you who wanted to get digital scrapbooking freebies, you can chech this out. I will be starting my review for the board exam this week so it might take me a long time to make a new scrapbook page. Hopefully I will find time to squeeze it on my upcoming busy schedule (di pa nga nag-uumpisa *lol*). 'til next time..

Love Endures

I woke up early this morning with nothing so much to do so I decided to make a digital scrapbook using the kits I downloaded from the internet. I used some of our pics at Balay Indang. I've also included a poem from a book entitled soulmates which I bought 3 years ago. I really liked what I did with this one. Unlike the previous ones which I made. I am only a beginner with digital scrapbooking and it was the first time I used photoshop to create this. I usually use Ulead Photoexplorer which I borrowed from my officemate. Anyway, here it is..

Longing for Racks

About a month ago, I glanced at one of the buildings at Paseo deMagallanes and I saw this sign. Racks soon to open. I was very excited so I immediately informed my BF about it. He too was happy to know that Racks has returned. Our schedule to eat there (everything has to be scheduledwith my BF) was cancelled due to an emergency. But we ate there eventually. Last saturday after work. We had to wait because there are a lot of customers. We ordered baby back ribs, chicken, mac and cheese, corn and carrots and three orders of Java rice. We were so full. The food was great! We really missed it specially their bbq sauce. Super yummy..*lol*.
I wanted to eat there again, hopefully soon..

My new Gadget

After a week of delay, i've finally purhased my new cellphone. It's the Sony Ericsson K800i. I love this cellphone because of its cybershot feature. I have the allure brown color which is unique and very classy. I bought it at SM Mall of Asia at the price of 12,800 pesos. It comes with a 128mb memory stick. But with the cybershot feature of this phone, 128MB is definetly not enough to store pictures so i have upgraded it t 512 MB. With additional expense of course. I haven't explored all of its features but when I do I will definitely post it here.

A sad reality...

Yesterday when I went to work I was really excited because of 3 reasons. First, we only have to work halfday, so I can spend the rest of the aftenoon with my boyfriend. Second, it was the day my boyfriend will treat me at the newly opened Racks in Magallanes. And thirdly, i'm going to buy my new cellphone (Sony Ericson K800i). This my birthday gift for myself. But an unexpected news came when I was into the QC room. One of my collegues called our QC manager and was asking for help. His son was accidentally electricuted and died. The hospital didn't want to release the body of his son because he doesn't have any money to pay for the bills (What's up with hospitals these days). Good thing our President, Mr. Matsushita was very supportive. He personally attend to the financial needs of Kuya Lito. He even went to Makati to give his support.

What happened, according to one of my officemate who talked to Kuya Lito, was his son was riding a tricycle, he went off the tricycle to give way to another passenger then he accidently leaned on a street lamp post which was grounded. It was raining that day which made the matter worst. He was dead on arrival at the hospital. This boy is only 15 years old.

It is helpful to know the first aid for electricution just in case you happen to see someone who has been electricuted. This procedure can help lives.

My parting note for this post would be that our lives are only borrowed from God. He is the only One who can give and take away life. We shouldn't take this gift of life for granted....

P.S.

Our plan to eat at Racks and to buy a cellphone was cancelled.huhuhu...In another time, hopefully before my birthday.
