My sister commented on my facebook page why they don't have a solo pic on the layout I recently made. I told her I would make her her own layout using the same Sweet Story Telling Kit from Sahlin Studio.

A beautiful ordinary day
I was itching to create a new layout from the freebie kit I snagged from Sahlin Studio's Facebook Page and the template I downloaded from a digiscrap website (I could not remember where exactly *LOL).
So here it is....

Mirror image
I just have to blog about this...
I was browsing my facebook page last Saturday when I noticed that both my younger sisters have the same profile pic. Same as in same location, same angle, in short they looked the same. I created this LO and uploaded it on facebook. I just find it funny. Neither one of them wanted to change their profile pic, but the older of the two gave in.
So here's the simple layout I made using Peppermint Creative's Movie Night free kit.

Happy Holidays
This is the season to be jolly. Yes, I am really feeling the spirit of Christmas. And I am uber excited to make lots of LOs with all the free christmas digikits I've been hording. There is an SBG blog train where you can download free christmas digi kits from different designers! Just don't forget to thank them when you download. You can find the link here.
And here is my take using one of the free kits on the blog train made by Thatyana of Thaty Borges Designs.

Apologies for the not so sharp picture. I couldn't seem to find a way to resize it without getting pixelated. Will research more on this.

Flower Stories Cafe
I am always fond of checking good deals from Groupon, Ensogo and Metrodeal. And lately, I registered sa Cash Cash Pinoy. Last month I purchased an eat-all-you-can deal at Metrodeal. This is to treat my family on my birthday.
The restaurant who offered the deal was Flower Stories Cafe. I searched it on the internet but found no information about them. Apparently they are new to this kind of business. I just found this blog and was surprised with all the negative comments the restaurant had been receiving. I was worried that I might get disappointed too. Fortunately the restaurant acknowledged all the comments and made some changes to satisfy their customers. From then on, the comments were improving. Naging kampante na ko.
The day came when we used the coupons. I was actually amazed with the place (syempre nasa Intramuros kaya parang kakaiba). The street where the building was do not have squatters as opposed to the comment I read. There are squatters in that area but not on the street where the building was. The dining area is a veranda on the 6th floor of the JS contractor building.
We came early but they were already set up so we did not wait too long to eat. They had cream of mushroom soup (I think), plain rice, java rice, pasta bolognese, roast beef with gravy and mixed vegetables, pork teriyaki, breaded fish fillet and onion rings with separate sweet and sour sauce, vegetable sticks with thousand island dressing and chocolate fountain where you can dip the banana, marshmallows and champola sticks! The whole family enjoyed the lunch and I was very happy! Kahit ako super busog! My sister even asked magkano ang regular price nila. Ang cute kasi ng place e.
All in all it was worth the 200 pesos each I spent. I still have 2 remaining coupons and I can't wait to use them! :)

Triplets

My sisters and I were always mistaken as triplets or sometimes twins in pictures. Some couldn't even tell who is who. It's cute but annoying sometimes.
I made an LO using Rakscraps October Mega Kit and template from Peppermint Creative's Pimp my Page. I added photos from our outing last summer in celebration of my Aunt's birthday.

Sisters FOREVER
True to note. My sisters and I have a very special bond. A bond that cannot be broken by anything or anyone. No matter how mad we get with each other, we manage to fix it. We rely on each other through good times and bad. We lend each others' ears when someone gets heartbroken or had a bad day at the office. I am very lucky to have them not just as sisters but as true friends....
I Love You Guys!!!

July 25, 2009
This is my mother's birthdate. We decided to celebrate it at Racks in SM Mall of Asia. But before that we (Ason and I) had a spa treatment at Wensha with two of our S-IK friends. As much as our budget allows it, we try to indulge ourselves with spa treatment every now and then.
@ Wensha
After receiving our magentic locker bracelet, Tootsie and I went straight to the girls spa area. Since it was so hot that day, we decided to dip in the cold pool instead of the hot jacuzzi. We exchanged a few chikas, saving some later with maan who will join us for coffee. A few minutes after the dip, both of us felt chilly already so we went to the sauna next. I must say I have been to that sauna everytime but that time the temp inside was so high. We only lasted about 5 minutes because we couldn't take that much heat! Baka matusta na kami *LOL* Then, we hurried to the body massage area. That was one good massage! The pressure was just right for me, no complaints whatsoever. The ladies who gave us the massage asked us if we would like to rest for a while. We said no because we thought the boys were already waiting for us at the dining area. Surprisingly, we did not find them. After dressing up, we searched for them at the dining area. They also just had finished their massage. They went to eat first before they had their massage that's why we finished the treatment at almost the same time.
@SM Mall of Asia
After the spa treatment, we went straight to SM Mall of Asia. My family was already waiting for me at Racks. Before I joined them we had to meet with maan first. The dinner was long but fun. My cute nephew was there, plus my parents closest friends.

Dinner was over so I joined my S-IK friends again for coffee. Starbucks was packed with people when we got there. We tried to find a space where we could do Iah's scrapbook (which was one of the agenda that evening), preferably on their soft, comfy chairs but everything was occupied. So we had to squeeze ourselves on the tiny table and space available. Then we were joined by Wilson and Kuya Jun. Since BF had to go back to the resto, he invited us to continue our chikahans there so he can supervise his employees.

By 1AM, we decided to go home. Tootsie and Kuya Jun resides in Carmona and they still had to drop maan and me off. It's been a while since we've seen each other. Hopefully, it won't be too long 'til our next chika session....

Tested Positive
Newborn screening is now being performed to babies immediately after birth. Just to make sure the baby is healthy and also to prepare the parents in case of positive results.
Yesterday was my nephew's schedule for another vaccine. It was also when my sister got the result for his newborn screen tests (my sister forgot about it). She was surprised to find out that Miguel tested positive for glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency! The doctor suggested that they take him to the National Institute for Health to have a confirmatory test. Most of the babies with this condition tested negative on the confirmatory test. We will not know the result 'til July 17. We all hope and pray that the test result will be negative. If he tested positive, he couldn't take drugs with oxidizing agents as this will cause him to have a certain type of anemia.
We are all scared but at the same time thankful that we had found his condition sooner.

Baby Stuff for Baby Migs
My sister is due to give birth this February. One month to go before we welcome a new member in our family. He will be named Miguel Carlisle Angeles. The name Carlisle was actually taken from a character in the movie Twilight. He's the father of Edward Cullen. (Adik sa Twilight, I should say *LOL*).
In preparation for his coming, my sister and her hubby already bought a few things for him. As a soon to be godmother of Migs, I also bought a onesies and a pair of socks. As a gift for my sister naman, my sister Delai and I bought her a baby couture bag so eventhough she's carrying baby stuff she'd still look cool and stylish.

garments for the baby: onesies, hooded blankets, socks, booties, etc.

More baby stuff: Nappy clamps, diaper pins, bottles, bath essentials, pacifier, baby wipes, etc.

It's been a long time since we have a baby in our family so everyone's really excited. I for one can't wait!

The Holidays
Holiday season is over and one good way to start the new year is to share some of the activities that I did during the holidays.
December 24
We were required to report for work but only until 3pm, so we can still have ample time to prepare for the noche buena. My family and I were going to spend Christmas together with my other relatives at my lola's house in Biñan, Laguna. Since I was already in Laguna, I decided to spend Christmas eve with my aunts, uncle and lola. I had to wait though because they were not yet home when we were dismissed. I joined Jim and Monch and we killed time at Congo Grill in SM Sta. Rosa. We didn't really have a noche buena feast, we just prepared the food that we served on Christmas day.
December 25
As always, we started Christmas day by attending the Holy mass at Sto. Niño de Cebu Parish. We waited for our other relatives to arrive so we can have lunch together. My parents wasn't able to come because my father wasn't feeling too good. But they promised they'd be there for lola's birthday on the 26th.

1. with my aunts and lola 2. Kasama na si Tito

with my siblings, cousins and tito
So we grouped ourselves into two. There were only two members from our family who joined. My other two siblings went to mass during the time the game was played. Do you want to know how much the prize was? 5000 pesos for the winning group. Losers also received a consolation prize of 2000 pesos. Not bad I say. I was with the losing team *LOL*. It was a very exciting game. Everybody enjoyed it especially the cash we received from our very generous tita.
December 26
It's my lola's birthday. Another reason to get together sa bahay ni lola. We had lunch and merienda and went home after.
My loving lola

Kulitan lang
I still had to work this day because I was on duty. My officemates went home to their respective provinces, and I was the only one who lived near enough kaya ako ang naiwan. I just finished the working instructions for the scheduled production when our president announced that we can go home by 11. After work, BF and I went straight to MOA. My cousins and Tita were waiting for me. It was our schedule to watch shake, rattle, and roll. The line at the cinema was soooo long but we still had good seats. The second episode of the movie was pretty scary. Most of the viewers were screaming, including me *LOL*. After the movie, we went ice skating. It was only my second time but I can say that I got the hang of it until I slipped butt first! Ouch! Oh well, its part of learning.
December 29
My uncle had their house blessed but I wasn't able to attend because BF and I watched iskul bukol. After the movie, BF was trying to convinve me and his self that the movie was funny. Actually, not much.
December 31
This was the first time our family was not together to welcome the new year. My ate was in Bulacan with her husband's family. My two siblings were in Laguna. I must admit I was kinda sad.
January 1
Off we went again to Laguna. Had lunch and merienda and went home. Oops, I almost forgot. During the times we were in Laguna, me and my cousins were practicing "Hawak Kamay" as a group presentation for the surprise birthday celebration of our Tita Dang.
January 2
I booked a reservation at Huey Ying restaurant for Tita Dang's Birthday. This was shouldered by each family. We were required to wear something white. Aside from the group presentation we each sang a song dedicated to her. I sang "In my life" by Bette Midler. Her brothers and sister each gave a message for her.
My tita is the most generous person I've ever known. She supports us financially with our education and helpedin the expenses for the chemotherapy of Raphael. She's a God send. Unselfish and loving. We will always bethankful for everything she had done for us and someday we will be looking forward to returning the favor. After the program, came the picture taking at the bay. It's funny, each family own a DSLR.

This day also happened to be our anniversary. We've been together for four years now. We're not into big celebrations. We had coffee. To spend just a little time with each other on this special day. During the four years we've been together we seldom have problems. Maybe because we were both mature and we both understand each other. I hope we would still have more years to count together.
I think this post is already too long, you might get bored. To sum it up, I was happy. I spent time with my family and loved ones. Nothing makes the holidays more memorable than that....

Cerealicious
I found a new, yummy and healthy snack. Cereals with a twist at Cerealicious! Located at 3rd flr of Midtown Robinson's Place Ermita.
My sisters introduced me to this cute store last sunday. I was amazed. Aside from the very colorful motif of the store, there were so many cereals to choose from. But what really caught my attention was the name of their products. Movie names! They even have posters! If you only have a small appetite you can choose trailer (small size). If you're really craving for cereals better order blockbuster (large size). There are so many variants to choose from. I've only tasted 3 (took a bite from my sisters *LOL*) so I will definitely come back to try the others.
Now Showing..
Here are the others..

House Blessing
Today is my uncle's condo unit's blessing. Members of the family and a few close friends were invited. It's a studio unit so we were a bit crowded. After the blessing we went to the pent house to check out the facilities. It's very spacious. They have a pool, a fitness gym, a function room and children's playground. I'm not sure how much it cost, but since it's in Makati, surely it's a bit expensive. Here are some of the shots we took at the blessing.
