Happy Holidays

We would like to greet everyone...

A Date with Clouie

Last week I received a txt message from Lara informing me that our friend Clouie is already here in the Philippines. He is now residing and working in Belgium. It's been three years since we last saw him. He went there to attend the World Youth Day and never came back. Lucky for him he was able to find work so his stay there became legal.

We scheduled our date last Sunday. We were supposed to meet at 11 am because one of our friend will be having their Christmas party that day but Clouie came almost 12 noon. We had lunch at Huey Ying (I love their sizzling sisig!). After which we had a few picture taking and then brought Rizza to the terminal. I don't know what's gotten into Clouie, he wanted to skate. I never had the chance to skate but I wanted to try, so I said yes. When we got to the ice skating rink, I was a bit nervous. Falling down on your butt in front of a lot of people would be humiliating. I envy those kids who knew how to skate. With a few practice, someday I might be able to skate like a hockey player or a figure skater (just dreaming...*LOL*). I must mention that it was freezing in there. I did not bring any jacket so it was a good thing that we only pay for an hour of skating.

After skating we had coffee. It didn't do any good with the cold feeling that I had because I ordered a frapuccino. Clouie got the planner from starbucks. Seriously, it was the ugliest planner starbucks has yet to release. It's not worth paying and drinking so much coffee. There was a time when I heard one of the barista say that they have a great planner this year. I guess most of the strabucks' afficionados got disappointed. Anyways, we wanted our date to be memorable for Clouie so we each wrote a note for him on the starbucks' tissue paper and we also had our group picture developed.

He will be leaving on saturday but before that we planned another get together. A movie date. We will be watching Desperadas 2. We were joking around, he will be like ogie in the movie and us will be Ruffa, Ruffa Mae, Marian and Iza...The Desperadas... I really hope I could join them. It's my grandmother's birthday and as of now we don't know what the family is planning.

So here are some of our pictures from our date. I haven't transferred the photo from the skating rink. I'll just post it another time...

Christmas Party '08

Our company had its Christmas Party at Techno Park Hotel in Sta. Rosa Laguna. When we got there, we first had our merienda of baked zitti and two slices of brownies. It was yummy! I wanted to ask for a refill but I guess it was only limited.
Then the party started with an opening prayer and remarks from our Sales Manager, Mr. Takahashi. We had games, raffle and Bingo. I got the 33rd prize, a single burner gas stove (which I will give to my friend who is getting married) and 1500 pesos cash. BF only got the consolation prize of 1200 pesos. I was only able to join one game, the newspaper dance. My partner? Who else?! *LOL* We did not win because BF has a big foot..hehe...
Our HR OIC rented an acoustic band as per request of our operators. The band was ok except for the female vocalist who was frowning the whole time. I don't know what her problem was but it sure is unethical to show it while they were performing.
Except for the band, the party was enjoyable!

Worst Delivery Service!

Eversince we (Emee and I) received our share in our paluwagan, my officemates were bugging us to treat them. In return, Emee and I also bugged Kuya Remy to treat us for receiving a complete attendance for the whole year. Aside from the complete encashment of VL/SL, he will receive a cash price on our Christmas party.

To lower our expenses, we decided to share.

We called Chowking as early as 9:30 so we can have lunch at 10:30. An hour is already too much allowance for time of delivery. 10:30 came but our order hasn't arrived yet. We were already pissed! It's way past our lunchtime. We called chowking again and informed them that we were already waiting for over an hour. We wanted to cancel our order. They kept telling us that their rider left a long time ago and was already on the way. You know how long we've waited?! 2 hours! What kind of delivery service was that! If I were you, if you wanted a fast delivery service, don't order at Chowking. Establishments like these should have a time allotment for not more than an hour when it comes to delivery. Their customers will have second thoughts when it comes to ordering at their store if they continue to give us service like this. Grrrgh!!!

Feeling Sick

I have a cold today and a fever as well. I already took medicine but I still don't feel any better.
I don't want to take a sick leave. I'm running for perfect attendance! I really hope this would all go away. I blame the cold weather...Grrgh!

Frustrating

Today was supposed to be the day I will purchase my DSLR. I reminded my father about the money I was going to borrow. To my disappointment, he lend it to someone else. Arrgh! He thought I wasn't resolved yet, that I was still waiting for the news in our company. I have already decided. BF and I already made plans to go to Hidalgo. Now we don't know what to do today. The purchase will be re-scheduled on the 19th. Good thing our Christmas party was moved from 13 to 22. I still have a little time to practice *LOL*.

Another boring day

I don't understand why we still need to go the office during saturdays. It's just a waste of time and money. We don't have any production so there really is nothing to do. Our company is experiencing a crisis. We don't know how much longer we can stay afloat. There were rumors that we're going to close. There was supposed to be a management meeting yesterday to inform employees about the status and plans of the company. But it was postponed to who knows when. A lot of us were irritated. If they're going to close down it's better to tell it sooner so we can prepare for unemployment. *LOL*.

Criticize

Last night was the official showing of the movie twilight. We were supposed to watch it at SM MOA but decided to watch it at Cash and Carry instead. It's closer to home and the theatre will not be so crowded, and it will be free seating. I arrived there at around 7:30 PM. Last full show will not start until 9:00 PM.
Surprisingly, the theatre was almost full.

So what is the movie's rating? A ok. Not really that great. If you have read the book you'll surely be disappointed. The pace of the story was so fast. I couldn't remember when the characters actually fell in love with each other. They just fell in love. Just like that. I don't think that there was a book turned into a movie that was great or even satisfying. I wanted to hear the opinion of someone who haven't read the book. Another thing, I don't like how Kristen Stewart played the part of Bella. She was stuttering. Same expression throughout the movie. The only great thing was Edward Cullen. I'm not being bias but I thought he did great except for some scenes where he exaggerated. He's perfect for the role.

An official announcement was made last November 22. Production of the next book, New Moon, will be starting soon. Another movie to look forward to.

Twilight Movie Companion

I really love fully booked! The bookstore where I bought my twilight books. Their books are a little bit expensive compared to other bookstores but at least they have stocks. Last sunday, my siblings and I were at MOA. I don't know what's gotten into me, I went inside fully booked, to kill time I guess. Upon entering, we noticed that there was an addition to the stacks of books on the twilight table. It was a twilight movie companion book. It was like a glossy magazine, with lots of behind the scenes pictures and a detailed information on how the movie started and came together. Ang daming pictures ni Edward! *LOL*! It's quite expensive pero siyempre buy kami. It's a collectors item for the twilight fans.

Here are some the pictures inside the book...

These were taken using my SE K800i

Postponed

I'm postponing my plan to buy a DSLR this weekend. I still have to think about a lot of things before buying. Hopefully before Christmas..

Tata for now...

Thoughts to ponder

Last night BF and I had a serious talk. I wouldn't say all went well but at least we're ok. After the serious talk we chat about much lighter things. The one that came up which made me happy was the idea of buying a DSLR. I am so fond of taking pictures. My officemates always tease me about it. BF gave me the go signal. I should buy daw something that I really want regardless of the price. A personal investment. Well, a camera is not a bad thing really. I was able to feel the DSLR during my cousin's birthday party. My uncle owned a canon eos 1000d and my aunt let me take a few shots with it. I so love the feel of it! Now, my problem would be if I am brave enough to spend money on it. I have to talk to my father about it 'coz I don't want to use up my savings. I was thinking of borrowing money and then pay him on installment plan. Without interest of course *LOL*! Hopefully he'll lend me the money so I can the camera before our Christmas party scheduled on December 13.

Much awaited movie

I have finished reading the twilight series books by Stephenie Meyer. I enjoyed every moment of it. I never had this much enthusiasm in reading since the Harry Potter series. Now that I know what had become of the Bella and Edward love story, I am very excited for the movie.

We were at the mall yesterday. We passed by the cinemas and stopped at a tv monitor which plays the trailer of the movie. Then it flashed the date of the showing of the movie. November 26. November 26?! What?! The schedule in the internet says that the movie will be shown here on November 21! What happened? We asked the girl at the counter why the change in schedule. She just told us that the date has been moved. Moved? As if November 21 is not long enough they had to extend it to November 26.

Oh well, I guess we really have to wait that long.

Check out the trailers and more about the movie here...

Best Birthday Gift ever!

I was so ecstatic to receive the best birthday gift I could ever receive.

Here's the story....

October 18, Saturday. Ason and I went to Midtown Robinson's Place Ermita to look for something that I would like him to give me for my birthday. I really have no specific thing in mind. The mall was having a 3-day sale at the time. Maybe it would be the last for this year since christmas season is fast approaching. Anyway, I went through most the shops. I was thinking clothes would be the safest thing I could ask for. But too bad, I never found anything I want, not even close to anything I like. When I went looking for Ason (we separated, he looked for things he could buy) I found him eating halo-halo at Razon's. After then we went to midtown. I checked out a few stores but was unsuccessful. Then I had an idea. I was going crazy about twilight and I have only read the first book. I need to have the last 3 books. I told him that that is what I wanted. It was very hard to find a copy of these books. All of the bookstores that I went to have no stocks. He told me he'll check out at Sta. Rosa if they have stocks.

After we finished at Robinson's, we went to Harrison Plaza. He need to make some transactions at the bank. Instead of going with him, I went to national bookstore. As expected , no stocks! I was already hungry at that time so went to MOA and ate at President's Tea house. I was so full but not that satisfied, maybe because I wanted to eat at Almon Marina but he doesn't want to. After dinner, I strolled a while, alone, in the mall. I passed by Fully Booked and saw the poster of the release of the Breaking Dawn. That poster wasn't there when I went a day before. I was tempted to check it out. And to my my surprise, there was this table full of twilight series books! Complete from book 1 to 4! I was so excited. I called Ason immediately and asked him to go back to buy me the books! I couldn't remove the smile on my face, I was so happy! I've never been so excited as this! I will get to read the whole Edward and Bella Story! Aside from the original books, there was this special edition twilight book with a free movie poster! Ason asked me if I wanted that too. I do want it but refused because I already have the first book. As for the poster, I have tons of pictures in the computer back home so there really is no need for that.

I felt like a fool, smiling while walking. Of course I have a reason but the people that passed by me doesn't know that.

All in all, the best birthday gift ever! Not expensive but I consider it my most priced possession as of the moment.

Twilight

This is going to be a long post...

About a week ago, my youngest sister isay, have been talking nonstop about this book her friends were reading. The book by Stephenie Meyer is entitled Twilight, which will soon be a major motion picture. I got curious. I thought there was already a movie by that title and when I narrated to her the movie she said it wasn't that. Hhmmm...still curious.

I was surprised when I got home last friday. My sister bought the book, which took forever to buy because every bookstore ran out of stock. She already started reading but I interrupted her because again of my curiosity. I wanted to be the first one to finish it which is most likely because i'm a fast reader.

After reading the first chapter I was hooked! I couldn't let it down. More than I got hooked with Harry Potter and Match me if you can. I stopped reading around 2 am, not because i'm already tired nor sleepy but because I needed to sleep. I have already finished half of the book!

The sun was up saturday morning and the first thing I did was to continue reading. My sister and I had plans to go Trinoma to look for a dress to wear on my cousin's debutante party. Laziness and the urge to finish the book got the best of me so we went to Robinsons Manila instead (bringing the book of course). We weren't able to find a dress so I decided to have my hair treated (which will be elaborated in another post).

We went home and my reading still continued. Every chapter seemed like the climax, you really have to read the next to end the suspense. I was saddened to see that i'm almost finished. 2 am came and I finished it. I have never felt so kilig! Since the movie is coming out soon and knowing who will play each character, it's so easy to imagine.

I can't wait for the movie this coming November 21. I'll be posting about it another time. I have so many things to say about the movie! I will include the trailer and some of the character's photos.

To learn more about the author and the twilight saga (that makes everyone crazy including me), check it out here.

Cerealicious

I found a new, yummy and healthy snack. Cereals with a twist at Cerealicious! Located at 3rd flr of Midtown Robinson's Place Ermita.
My sisters introduced me to this cute store last sunday. I was amazed. Aside from the very colorful motif of the store, there were so many cereals to choose from. But what really caught my attention was the name of their products. Movie names! They even have posters! If you only have a small appetite you can choose trailer (small size). If you're really craving for cereals better order blockbuster (large size). There are so many variants to choose from. I've only tasted 3 (took a bite from my sisters *LOL*) so I will definitely come back to try the others.
Now Showing..

Here are the others..

Karma

I've always believed in Karma. May it be good or bad (mostly bad. *LOL*). Whenever somebody hurts me or did something bad to me I leave it all up to karma. Last sunday I was walking in the mall on my way home when a girl approached me. She asked me if I could give her money so she could get home. She lost her wallet and needed 60 pesos to get home to fairview. Being very maawain I gave her money.

I never told anyone about the incident. Most of them would tell me na naloko lang ako. It doesn't matter, if she just fooled me into giving her money shame on her. Karma will get to her.

This is what I think when I gave her money. If I am in the girl's position I would hope someone would help me the same way I helped her. It takes a lot of guts to ask someone for money. Some people do that to earn easy money. I'm just happy because I have done a good deed. It's been a long time na..

New Shoes

My aunt (Tita Chie) came back from Singapore yesterday. She was there for two weeks to take care of my Tita Dang who had an operation because of cysts found in her ovaries. Thank God the operation was a success.

Tita Dang was the one who gave me the pair of sneakers before. Since I like her style, I asked her if she still has an extra pair because the one she gave me is already worn out. I'm very much ok with a hand-me-down sneakers but my tita is very generous. She bought me a new one. It's her gift na for my birthday. It's a lacoste sneakers! It's so cute! I so love it. Very funky, very cool. The left shoe is a bit yellowish because it's the last pair. They had no time to go to other shops because my tita's wound was hurting. No prob for me. I just nedd to wash and scrub it and it will be as good as new.

Here is my cutie shoes..

Wouldn't you agree?

Day Off

It's been way too long since i've seen my high school barkada. Our houses are located in the same city but we can't seem to find time to meet. Rizza works night shift, Lara is very active in Singles for Christ, Aillen, well she's just waiting for us to set a date.

I miss them. We call each other sisters. and since it was Rizza's birthday last Sunday, I forced them to take time off so we can spend some time together and chat. Sunday is the only free time the four of us have so we set the date and the time (6-7 at SM MOA).

BF and I attended the 5 PM mass so by 6:15 I was already at MOA. I had to buy a few things so it's ok for me to wait. But grabe, they arrived at 8 pm! My feet were hurting from too much walking.
We grabbed dinner at greenwich 'coz Lara was craving for Pizza. Had a little chat about the latest chikas from our HS community. Who got married? Who is still together? Those kind of stuff.
After the chat, we went to San Miguel by the Bay to hang-out and take pictures. We were supposed to have coffee but were still full from what we ate at dinner so we decided na magkulitan na lang. Here are some of our takes.

Match me if you can

I love reading books! Whenever i get my hands on a good book i couldn't let it down. Last weekend I found one. My sister's friend borrowed my "Veronika Decides to Die" book. In return my sister borrowed her book. I've seen it lying around the house. Because I'm busy and always tired when i get home, i've ignored it. Last sunday i got bored and was left alone in the house. I couldn't stand staying too long in front of the computer so I decided to read the book instead. After the first chapter my eyes were glued on the book. I almost forgot I haven't eaten lunch yet.

So what's so interesting about this book? It's a romantic story with a touch of comedy. I felt so kilig while reading. I finished it within 3 days. I read it when i get home from work. So imagine how long I stay up just to read. When I finished it I was so happy but sad at the same time. The story itself can possibly happen in real life. The guy in the story I should say is what all of us girls are looking for in a husband or partner. Someone who would forget about his work when it comes to you. Haayy... Sana ganyan din si BF..*LOL* He's too focus on his work and their business kasi e. But in fairness, he makes time for me. Un nga lang palaging nagmamadali *LOL.*

Anyways, hope you could find time and a copy of the book. BTW, it's called Match me if you can by Suzanne Philips.

Wensha Experience

BF and I usually go to fitness first for our spa treatment. This time we tried Wensha Spa located at Buendia in front of world trade. Kleng, BF's sister bought GCs at Wensha and asked him if he wanted us to try it. From what we've heard, girls are separated from boys at this spa. Unlike at fitness first, they have couple's room so we can be together. Nevertheless, we still went and tried it.

Upon arrival, we were given magnetic keys to our locker. The person who assisted us asked us if we wanted to eat first before having our massage treatment. The food is inclusive in the payment and the best part is it's eat-all-you-can buffet. You can eat before AND after your treatment. Since we're not planning to stay long we decided to have our treatment first before eating.

Bf was done with his treatment and was already finished eating when I arrived. By the way, aside from heavy meal that they serve they also have shabu shabu. While getting our second serving of shabu shabu, BF was surprised to see someone he know. What a small world. That person came all the way from Laoag and was here only for a business trip.

All in all the Wensha experience was great! BF and I were both pleased with our massage treatment. Far better than the ones we had at Fitness First.

FYI: The body massage treatment that we had only cost 630 pesos. Food is inclusive. You can eat before and after your treatment. You can also make use of their facilities like sauna, hot and cold shower, hot and cold jacuzzi. TV monitors are everywhere even at the jacuzzi area. Bathing suit, underwear or any type of clothing is prohibited in the jacuzzi area. You have to be naked (together with other guests). You can sleep after your treatment but only up to 8 hrs. They will charge you with the exceeding hrs.

For the good service that you get and for the price you pay, you'll surely come back for another Wensha Experience.

P.S. I wasn't able to take some shots at the spa because it was prohibited. Just check it out for yourself.

House Blessing

Today is my uncle's condo unit's blessing. Members of the family and a few close friends were invited. It's a studio unit so we were a bit crowded. After the blessing we went to the pent house to check out the facilities. It's very spacious. They have a pool, a fitness gym, a function room and children's playground. I'm not sure how much it cost, but since it's in Makati, surely it's a bit expensive. Here are some of the shots we took at the blessing.

I'm having trouble uploading pictures. You can check out the rest here.

Comfort Food for the soul

They say this is America's most favorite comfort food. I first tasted its goodness at Kenny Rogers. What else am I talking about but the yummy tasty goodness of macaroni and cheese. I was looking for recipes in the net and I was surprised to see a lot. Different variants, different ways of cooking. I chose a few and was planning to try to cook them when I have time. I found the recipes here.

Since this is a very special dish to me. I made a layout using Wanda's recipe card. You can grab it for free at her blog. Don't forget to leave her some love...

It's Over

My review is officially over with the end of the mock boards today. So how did I do? Not so good. I don't think I will pass the exams. My decision to potpone taking the board exam is actually a good decision. Eventhough the review classes are over, I still have to continue. It's just the beginning for me. I need to familiarize myself with different types of problems and memorize a lot of formulas. So by next year I will be super ready na...

Bebots

Eversince I joined this group, I've been hooked. I learned a lot about photoshop and digital scrapbooking. The members are very nice too. They have a lot of experience with digital scrapbooking, so every question I ask, they surely know the answer.

Thanks Girls for the warm welcome! I hope to post my LOs soon. (Now that I know how to sharpen my LOs *LOL*)

Final Decision

I have been thinking very hard and I came up with the decision not to take the board exam this year. I have already failed the first try and I don't want to fail it again. I needed more time to study specially because I am working. This time of the year is our busiest time because we have a lot of new color developments. I have 5 colors to match. 3 down, 2 more to go. Eventhough I won't be taking the exam i'll still continue my review. It would be a year of waiting. Our board exam is only once a year. Hopefully I will be super ready by then.

Freebies Gallore

My sister is getting married soon and she asked me if I could make her an invitation using my scrapbooking skills *LOL* (parang expert na e no?). I agreed, the problem is I don't have any kits suitable for a wedding invitation. Then I remembered Wanda's invitation to join this website for pinay digiscrappers. I joined and was so happy! 'Di ko akalain marami pa lang nagdidigiscrapbooking. I received a warm welcome from some of the members. The best part is I learned a lot of freebies site. Haven't found a kit for my project but I snagged a few from Che's blog. Love her blog, dami freebies!
I also learned a lot of tips and tricks with regards to using PS. Mas madalas na kong maglog dito kaysa sa Friendster *LOL*

Here are some of the kits I downloaded:

As you can see I have a new banner for my blog. It's not so simple anymore although the LO that I did is still simple. You can check the credits here. If I have time I'll change it again, I still need to find pretty kits so can make a prettier banner *LOL*.

I'm a Pro

I officially have a pro account at Flickr. Yipee! Now, I can store all the pictures that I have. Memories from previous outings, birthday celebrations and special moments. I really don't know where to start. I started uploading pictures stored from the PC at the office and now here at home. Hay, dami talaga!

My very own

Two days ago I received my supplementary credit card from BPI. Yipee! My mom is the principal cardholder. Now I can purchase anything I want. From clothes, bags, shoes, digi kits and what I have been wanting for so long, a flickr pro account! I am fond of taking and keeping pictures. Sometimes they would tease me " Hindi ka masyado mahilig sa pictures." It would be costly if I would print everything, so I need a place to store them. And the perfect place would be at Flickr. Maybe by next week I would be a flickr pro na!

Hello and Goodbye

It's been already a week since our last boss went back to Japan and left us for good. He was not demoted or promoted. We will be starting our compounding this year and the company thinks it is best to assign someone who has experience in compounding. So came in Mr. Tsukamoto. He worked here in the Philippines ages ago and now he is back. He is older, stricter. Mam Winnie, who stayed in the company too long already he became her boss then, said that he is good but very serious when it comes to work. He is always in the production area monitoring machines and operators. Even in the injection area he roams. We feel pressured everytime he's around. Who wouldn't? He is always watching us, our every move. Literally!

Enough of him! You'll be hearing more of him in the next few days or months.

Before Sir Ando left, the company had a little lunch for him. As our immediate boss, we gave him something to remember us by. A painting, which we bought at Kultura, of Bahay Kubo with a farmer and his carabao. And also a collage of our pictures. I made it extra special by using the Digiscrapmania festicolor kits.

I'm a Skunk : You are near to perfect and nice at heart! . The e xamples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people. You, too, love peace. You wouldn’t like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one’s back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give, and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough. Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys. Most of this is true except for the part about talking behind someone's back. I honestly admit that I do it sometimes..I'm a bad girl...sometimes..*LOL*

If you are an Ass : A very loyal and sweet person. Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble, and down-to-earth!! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little gr! oup of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

If you are a Slug : Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what mak e s you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder people seek your company and look forward to include you for all get-together’s. However, you are sensitive which is a drawback. People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!

If you are a Cockroach : Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfull! y deriv e work from people. You love being loved and when you receive your share of limelight from s omeone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well… Hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful…..

If you are a Parasite : An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you’re cool but when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You’re a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don’t like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.

If you are a Skunk : You are near to perfect and nice at heart!

If you are a Bullfrog : You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life. Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of fri ends! and go od at consoling pe ople in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware, it is easy for you to fall in love….

If you are a Snake : You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group. Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the w! ay you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.

If you are an Ape : Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are.

I'm passing this on to Delai and whoever wants to grab this tag.

Everybody wants Kung Fu Fighting!

Today is a day off from review, meaning it's date time! We planned to watch a movie. After work we went ahead not knowing where to go. It's a battle between glorietta and mall of asia. Glorietta won because there are a couple of cinemas to choose from. Upon reaching G1, we learned that the ovie we were about to watch had started already, so off we went to G4. On our way there we ran across some of our officemates from Makati. Ason and I separated to save time. I went to buy the tickets and drinks and he, to buy our food. We haven't eaten our lunch yet, but decided to buy some snacks frist because there aren't much time. The movie was a bout to start.

The movie I am talking about is Kung Fu Panda..

We wanted to watch something light and funny. It's a movie for kids but it can be enjoyed by those kid at heart adults. BF was laughing the whole time. Even he is a kid at heart, despite his kasungitan. It's a two thumbs up for us.

Oh, by the way, we never had lunch. We were so full with what BF bought for snacks. Bibingka (which is really yummy! Ngayon ko lang siya naappreciate), Jumbo Potato Corner BBQ flavored fries, Chef Tony's Popcorn (BF ate almost all of it), Large Fries and a BIGGIE Coke light from Wendy's. Who who wouldn't feel full after eating all of that?

Having Second Thoughts

The first month of my board review is over. Honestly, I have difficulty catching up with the lessons since I am working. Before the review started, I did some review with regards to General Chem. During the pre-simulation exam I find it very easy to answer the first few questions because those were what I have reviewed on my own so far. I was confident with my answers that us why I got the highest score on that subject in the exam. I feel like I needed more time. Time to read, time to solve and time to absorb everything that I have learned.

I will decide if I will go through with the exam before July ends. I don't want to fail again. I don't want to force myself to take the exam knowing that I might fail. I want to be 100% sure that I will pass.

Resigning at this point is not an option for me because i'm not yet ready. I don't have sufficient funds to support myself while i'm unemployed.

I have under estimated the review. That is the problem.

Making me nervous

Most of the time I will be blogging about the progress of my review...

Today we met our professor for Inorganic Chemistry. An old lady who was a former professor of our Gen Chem and Organic Chem professor who is already on his fifties, so just imagine how old she is. She looks like a typical grandmother. She even requested for a microphine because her voice is a bit weak due to old age.

When the class started, she announced that she has our class list and she will be calling names for recitation. I panicked because I haven't really studied that much. I was praying and hoping that I would get to answer an easy question. God Loves me so much. I was asked to write the balanced chemical equation for the combustion of methane. It was pretty easy compared to others who were asked for definition of terms. One of our classmate cut the class. Maybe she didn't want to be called or she didn't like her manner of teaching. Because honestly it was very slow for a review. Most of her questions coukd be found on textbooks. A friend of mine who graduated from UP wasn't really thrilled with the recitation. She said it wasn't effective.

I'm not really looking forward to our Inorganic Class next week. I don't like recitation. It's humiliating when you don't know the answer. But I won't have to attend it on monday because we'll be having our surveillance audit for ISO that day. So my presence is much needed in the office. If I will be called again next time and wouldn't be able to answer i'll be posting it here no matter how embarassing it may be.

A new old book

Review classes are at a very fast pace. We finished General Chemistry in just 3 classes. I'm actually a little worried and stressed right now because I haven't really catched up yet. Now we are in Organic Chemistry. By the way, we have the same professor in gen chem and organic. He's actually very very good and very very intelligent. He's the only professor who made me understand the concept of hybridization. I never appreciate that topic, but now I do because of him.

Organic is very different from all the subjects that we will be taking up. The three others are somewhat interconnected. This one needs a lot of understanding and memorization. I have to take memo plus gold in order to grasp everything. My organic chem book by Morrison and Boyd is already old. It's actually so old (I bought it second hand) that the pages were already torn. So I asked my father to buy me a new one. They do not publish this book anymore so what they bought is again a second hand but its condition is much better than my first one. I started reading it and I have to say it's a bit difficult to understand. I need more reference for this subject.

See the name of the previous owner?

Tomorrow we'll have Inorganic Chemistry and I haven't done my problem set for that one yet. Will do after this...

Pre-simulation exam at Brains

May 9 was the official start of my review at Brains review center. They gave us a pre-simulation exam to check if we could still remember the lessons we had in chemistry. Most of the people who took the exam were fresh graduates meaning chemistry lessons are still fresh in their minds unlike us who are working. The exam was scheduled for two days. Yesterday and today. The subjects we had yesterday were Organic Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry. Grabe, toxic ang organic. I totally forgot everything kaya mega hula na lang. I never had the chance to review for this subject unlike inorganic, mas marami akong nasagutan kasi this is what I've reviewed so far. Today we had Analytical and Physical Chemistry. Nakakabilib ung mga classmates ko. I don't know if they are really that good or nanghuhula din kaya ang aga natapos. Marami din yatang calculations kaya I think it's a bit impossible to finish in such a short time.

Anyway, I hope hindi zero ang score ko. That's so embarassing kahit sabihin pa na nagwowork kami. The results will be given this wednesday but i'm not sure if i'll attend, orientation lang kasi.

I'll be posting the results of my exams as embarassing as it may be. For motivation na rin siguro para mas sipagin pa ko magreview.

Pyrolympics '08

The 2008 Pyrolympics will be held all saturdays of this month at the San Miguel by the Bay. It was supposed to be held last february-march but they somehow changed the date. The reason? I don't exactly know. Last year I was only able to watch one. Syempre the day when team Philippines was included. The experience was spectacular, it's worth the sweat and the walk from MOA to macapagal.

Today is the first saturday of the event. The organizers were very strict. You need to have reservations at one of the restaurants in order for you to get near the place or get a good view of the fireworks display. If your going to just eat you won't be allowed either. Since BF's family's resto is along San Miguel by the Bay, they get to watch the fireworks for free. But the downside of it, they don't know what to expect when it comes to their sales since they have to charge their customers extra amount for the event. Because they(customers) will watch the event, they might be staying a little longer which means the place will be full even if everyone is already finished eating. BF is pressured. I bid him goodbye around 3:30 PM so he could help with the preparations in the resto. Hopefully, the event will boost their sales not the other way around. My friends and I were planning to watch on the last day because that will be our only free schedule. Ask ko si BF if we could get in for free..

Can't Find the Perfect Shoes..

It's only a few days before the start of my board review. We are not allowed to wear open toe shoes, sandals or flip flops, etc. Most of my footwear are flipflops and sandals. I have rubbershoes but it's too bulky to wear with jeans. So my hunt for the perfect sneakers is on. Since there is no work yesterday and there is a sale at SM MOA, BF and I went there to see if I could find the perfect one that would suit my taste. We searched and searched. We even checked out the kids section *LOL*. There were nice sneakers but they were so expensive! Our search was unsuccessful and it worries me. Then I remember that I still have this old girbaud sneakers. It's still in good condition because I seldom use it. I guess I have to use this for the moment until I find the PERFECT SHOES...

If anyone could give me a tip on where to find cute, comfy and affordable sneakers please PM me at tetsky02@gmail.com..I would really appreciate it..

The Men Hunt Tag

This is one exciting tag. What is more exciting than to share the men you are drooling on *LOL*? Hhhmmm...Sinu-sino nga ba? Before I like Asian boylets. But since I don't have much time watching chinovelas, koreanoveles, etc. my likings for asian men kinda disappeared. Don't get me wrong but my personal preference are those with chinky eyes. Hindi naman obvious sa BF ko di ba? So here are the guys who make my heart beat faster *LOL*.

1. Jensen Ackles

He is Dean in the TV series Supernatural. He first caught my attention in the series Dark Angel with Jessica Alba. Love his sexy eyes..

2. Steven Strait

He starred in a lot of films. 10,000 BC, The covenant (one of my favorite), Sky High and Undiscovered. Did I mention he also knows how to sing?

3. Chace Crawford

He is what I consider the boy next door type. He plays Nate in the new series Gossip Girl. Cutie!

4. Jerry Yan

My asian bet. The feeling comes back whenever I watch meteor garden. Kilig to the max! I love his dimples and he has the cutest smile. Don't you think? Sana he'll return in the Philippines, actually they, the F4. Yayayain ko mga sis and cuzs ko..

So there you go. My choices. They are the reason why i'm watching tv and collecting DVDs *LOL*. Actually, there's more but as they say " So many men, so little time." Over and out..

Low BP

Ou new nurse Jim was kind enough to monitor the blood pressure of employees who have a history of heart problem or those who are at risk of having one. I'm one those people who he monitor but not because of high BP but the other way around. My normal BP is 90/60. Yesterday it went down to 80/60. Normally you will feel sleepy when you have low Bp because you lack oxygen in your brain. I was feeling ok until I went home. It seemed as if all my energy was drained. I was really sleepy but I couldn't sleep. I was suppose to continue my review but decided to postponed it to get rest. This morning I felt worse, so I took a leave of abscence. I ate a lot of veggies today hoping it would help. I'm feeling a lot better now. I'll just take this day off to relax. BF will be coming home today. Hope the weather will get better. It's raining since this morning.

Abandoned

Since yesterday our QC Manager was on leave. She was supposed to report for work today because she only filed a leave for yesterday. It was already 8:05 when I noticed that she hasn't arrived yet. Most of the time she's early. When I asked her she told me she's not feeling well. Our Asst. QC Manager is also on leave. She went to Bora with her family. So that leaves me in charge of QC. I did some of their work like make daily qc report, inspect incoming raw mats, check hotpress sheets. Good thing our production is not that loaded, and most of the colors have no correction. Aside from these, I also have a rush color matching. I was able to finish it today, buti na lang. The customer called me up yesterday asking for it. It was only given to me by BF the day before yesterday. Buti na lang magaling ako magcolor match *LOL* (color black lang kasi). I was suppose to steal a few hours from work to browse my notes for the board but because of the work overload, I wasn't able to do so (tapos nagbblog pa ko *LOL*).

Hopefully, our mother ( Mam Winnie ), will feel better tomorrrow. I have no complaints doing some of her work, its an opportunity to learn. There are just things that need her approval. I'm still scared to make decisions regarding QC because I have to take full responsibility in case something went wrong (customer complaints).

A lonely week..

This coming week will be a lonely week for me. My BF will be leaving for Hongkong this monday. He will be accompanying his sister to arrange some documents to make her stay here legal. Tomorrow, our family will suppose to have an outing in celebration of my aunt and uncle's birthday. I won't be joining the outing for three reasons. First, we might have another family outing maybe this coming May when my tita arrive from Singapore. Second, I'm not really on a swimming mood and besides I need a lot of catching up on my review. I'm in lazy mode right now. And lastly, I want to spend time with BF before he leave. It will only be for four days but for me it would feel like a very very long time. I'm always used to seeing him everyday. Going to work with him, chatting about anything and everything until the time comes when we couldn't say anything anymore. Only listening to each others breathes.

I'll be texting him most of the time. Giving updates on the latest chikas in the office. Si Chona ata 'to (Chona Chikadora) *LOL* But since texting for him is more expensive, I may not be receiving so much in return. Sabi niya he'll find a way to e-mail me. Sana nga. I'll tell him na lang to be online para makapagchat kami. Hopefully he'll agree. I think he doesn't know how. I'll ask her sis na lang to teach him.

Days go by very fast. Sana it'll fast forward to saturday so he'll be here na. Sana din next year we could go on an out of the country vacation. That is if his obligations would allow him.

I almost forgot, his birthday is coming up. Haven't thought of any gift yet. Ang hirap talagang regaluhan ng mga lalaki.

Summer '08

Our company outing was held at Laiya Rest House and Becah Resort in San Juan Batangas. The departure time was supposed to be 630 am but because of unexpected traffic, we left at 7:10 am already. On our way traffic pa rin so we arrived at the resort 11 am na. It was also raining that time. But it's a good thing though kasi we won't get too much sunburn. The sun came out after lunch na. It was too hot already so we decided not to stay under it for a long time. We were suppose to have a volleyball game and obstacle course, but since we lack time to do that volleyball na lang. I was suppose to participate but did not do so kasi ang tagal magstart. Ako pa naman when it comes to outings like this gusto ko ako mauuna maligo..*LOL*. I was sleepy kasi Ason and I only had two hours of sleep maybe even less. He was already sleeping while I was taking a shower. He only woke up nung malapit ng umalis..hehe..I also stole a few minutes of sleep. Hindi na kami nakapagmerienda, take out na lang.

The resort was ok. The beach not so kasi hindi ganun kalinaw ung water tapos ang dami pang tao. The food? Not so good also. Good thing some of our operators cooked bulalo, inihaw na tilapia and bangus, inihaw na talong with bagoong alamang (sarap nito), and kilawin. They also brought ripe mangoes.

We arrived at the plant around 8. Some of us stopped at the shell gas station to have dinner. Ung mga magugulo (QC and sales plus our nurse Jim).

My Alma Mater

I heard from my good old friend maan that 4th year chemistry students from our school (PLM) will be having a comprehensive exam to check if they are ready to take the board exam. Coz last year no one from PLM was able to pass the said exam. Just to be sure that it will never happen again the professors thought of giving them a sort of pre-board exam to assess their capability. Since I am working, I wouldn't be able to take the exam, I need to save up my VL and SL for the coming review and exam. I took a leave last friday to inquire and ask our dean if I could get a copy of the exam. Good thing we caught up with her before she left the school. She wasn't suppose to be there because it was her day off. Luckily, she needed to attend a seminar. When I asked her about the exam, she said it is ongoing, meaning they scheduled the exam that day and the day before. She couldn;t provide me with the exam but told me that if most of them failed, they will be having another exam, which I think I wouldn't be able to take, again.
Transcript of records are needed for the board, and since I was already there, I paid for a new copy na rin.
The fun part of going there was reminiscing the times we spent there during college. There were a lot of changes though. The quadrangle where we used to play tennis is already a covered court, maybe because our gymnasium is under renovation. The walkway to different buildings have monitors with BBC news on it. The school now is trimester, in preparation for masteral. Deretso masteral na kasi after you graduate. Kainis bakit hindi namin naabutan! Anyways, I was so happy to see that our school has a lot changes, good ones talaga. Seeing my felow Isko and Iska (Scholars) makes me wanna study again...

Here are some of the pictures of my dear alma mater...
