Disappointed..

I was supposed to buy the 17" LCD monitor from one of my co-QC staff. She won it from the raffle. Since she doesn't have a PC at home she decided to sell it for only 1500 pesos. 1500 pesos! LCD monitors usually costs around 5000 and above depending on the brand. This one is a Chimei brand. Every year Chimei, our resin supplier, gives us 4 LCD monitors. It is one of their products aside from natural resins. Most of the PC in the office have an LCD monitor, from chimei of course. Continuing with the story, as I was about to pay Ate Eden, she told me that she changed her mind. Her sister wanted the LCD monitor. Talk about bad luck. I was really sad and disappointed. But I guess it wasn't meant for me. I'll just use the money for shopping *LOL*. I'll just wait next year, maybe they include another LCD monitor in the raffle.

Wild Wild West

This is the theme the office staff came up for our christmas party. Honestly, we reacted with the decision. We were hoping that they would ask the opinion of others to make sure that everyone would participate. But I guess other's opinions doesn't matter. In short, most of the employees did not participate. Only the office staff and some of the operators who wants to win the best costume prize were the ones dressed like cowboys and cowgirls. Ang QC pasaway. None of us wore any costume. I'd have to say it's really very costly. I would have no use for the outfit afterwards anyway. And we also don't have time to prepare. Production is very busy, we didn't even have time to practice for the dance contest kaya medyo mali mali steps *LOL*. I was the one who came up with the steps, they were following me when we danced. E ang daming beses kong nagkamali kaya lahat mali na *LOL*. We bagged the third prize. Only 3 groups participated, meaning kami ang kulelat. For the raflle, I only won the consolation prize which is a wallet and 1000 pesos. Not bad compared to winning a desk fan, or other appliances which we already have at home. Wilson won 25 kgs of jasmine rice and 300 pesos. Parang alam na may resto sila *LOL*. All in all the party was ok. The place was nice (Techno Park Hotel), the food was great. And the best part was we started early so we went home early also. Here are some of pics from the party. Others you can check it out here.

If someone asks you a favor, is it unfair to ask for a little consideration? My BF (Wilson) was asked by our HR OIC if he could pick up some of our employees at Sucat because the service will be used by employees from our Makati office. Traffic in SLEX is so unpredictable because of road construction. We already have 3 lates this month which means another late and we are considered absent. Wilson is required to come to work at 8 AM because he is on duty. If we are going to enter Sucat exit to pick them up, we will surely be late. I don't want to elaborate on the details but what happened is that I was caught in the middle of a misunderstanding between Ate Ning (HR OIC) and Wilson. She told me everything she wanted to tell Wilson because the second time she tried to call him he wouldn't answer anymore. Let's just say that what she said wasn't really nice. And since I am representing Wilson, I wanted to defend his side but she never gave me a chance. I'm not really good when it comes to arguments. In short, natameme ako sa sinabi niya, I couldn't help but cry. Production operators were asking me why I was crying because they usually see me wearing a smile. Whenever I tried to explain tears come falling down my cheeks. I really can't help it. I was weak. Maybe because it was the first time I was treated that way. Kahit papano naman I could say mabait naman ako. Everything was settled when Wilson talked directly to Ate Pat (HR Mngr.). I never hold any grudge against anyone. I understand that she is just pressured with our Christmas Party. I hope next time she will give consideration not just to us but to other employees as well. That's the most important part of the job of HR. To represent employees. To defend their rights. To give considerations.

Meant for me..

About a month ago, when I had my hair straightened, I saw this red silk dress at Bayo which I really liked. When I tried it on (size 0) it was small for me. I was able to fit it but it was nearly torn. I had a hard time taking it off. I couldn't believe I was already that fat. I asked the saleslady if they have a size 1 but they have none. I felt bad because I wasn't able to purchase it. It was a really good buy because it only costs 1,095 pesos. I told myself I was going to look for it in their other branches. I even asked my BF to ckeck it out at MOA. But he said he did not find a silk dress. I also ckecked out Bayo at greenhills. No red silk dress. I told myself maybe it wasn't meant for me.

Last night, my sister asked me if I could accompany her to glorietta. Since I still have a lot of things to buy I decided to join her. It was already 8 pm when I arrived at glorietta. Good thing they are open until 11 pm because my Ate took a long time finding an outfit she's going to wear at their christmas party. After she was finished, she told me that she saw the silk dress at Bayo. It was relocated on the 3rd floor. We were already tired but I still insisted on going to Bayo. I was so happy when I saw it and what made me more ecstatic is that it was 50 % off!!! Lucky lucky me..( I felt like I was Lindsay Lohan in the movie Just my Luck) *lol*. They don't have a size one on the red color but they have it on blue. I tried it on, it was a perfect fit. But then I noticed that its belt was missing. So I asked the saleslady for the belt and she said they don't have it. It's already been pulled out. What?! Why did they do that? The belt is an accessory of the dress. I asked her if they can still retrieve it because I was really going back just to get the belt but she said she's not sure. Despite the belt missing, I was still going to buy the dress. I returned a size 0 on the rack when I noticed that one of the dresses have a belt on. Lucky lucky me again. I took the belt and bought the dress. Happy happy happy!!!

This incident, I believe, is proof that if something is really meant for you, no matter how long it takes, it will still find its way to you.. Happy happy happy!!! *lol*

One of my worst days...

Friday, Dec. 7, my sister and I went to world trade to look for gifts for friends and inaanaks. ABS-CBS is hosting the bazaar. There is an entrance fee of 25 pesos, same for kids and adults. I was really excited because there were a lot of things to see and buy. I was bugging my sister to take a picture of me, because the decors there were nice. I informed my officemates about the fair and decided that we would go the day after. Next day came, I was there again. I was going through some clothes when I noticed that my cel is not in my bag. I panicked and asked jimmuel to check if I left it in the car. Luckily, it was there. Whew! Don't know what I'd do if I'd lost it. My father would be furious! So after, we went to MOA for the blessing of my BF's family's new resto. The blessing already started when we arrived. So we stayed outside for a while. I did text Ason informing him that we were already there. The blessing was finished, everyone was eating and we were still outside waiting for Ason. We were staring at the guests for a long time already. Feeling really stupid. We left to wander around when Ason came. On the way to the resto, he received a call and left us again. I was irritated. I decided not to go anymore, and my officemates supported me. We went to SM, to eat dinner. Ason called asking us where we are. I said MOA. He said "bahala kayo!". He sounded really pissed. (By the way, he has a fever that time). We had ordered food when Mam Winnie's phone rang. It was Ason's mom. Asking us to go back or she'll get mad. Buti na lang we could still cancel what we've ordered. When we came back, Ason and I weren't talking. I tried not to look at him kasi I was really mad. I lost my appetite. He was trying to offer me different kinds of food but I wasn't really in the mood. He only ate a little kasi nga he's sick. I gave him the medicine he asked me to buy for him earlier. I wanted to caring but I guess the feeling of irritation was much stronger. We left around 9:30 PM. He went home around 2 I think. He said goodnight but I still feel that everything was not ok. There will be a lot of changes now. He would be busier than he was before. Hopefully, he would find time for us. I miss him already...

Straightened it out

When I was a child I have curly hair. I'm still looking for my picture wherein I look like an ita because of my curly hair, don't know where that is. Well i'll just post it here if I find it. Because my hair always receives a trim, it straightened a little bit, making it wavy. Wavy means it's hard to manage. And I hate it when I had to wake up earlier just to blow dry or iron my hair. It's really a hassle. My solution? I had my hair straightened. Where else? At Going Straight. I usually go to their branch at glorietta but because of the glorietta incident I decided to go to rob place instead. I have my hair straightened twice a year. Straightening damages my hair but I can't help it so I just condition my hair every now and then. Going to parlor for hot oil at least once a month. Now I have super straight hair. I love it!

Celebrating love...

Today is my parents' wedding anniversary. If i'm not mistaken, I think it's already their 27th year together as husband and wife. Their journey together was not really smooth flowing. There were times when I thought they will give up on each other. It was really sad and heartbreaking when you see your parents fighting. It affected me so much. But i guess their love for each other and for their children are what kept them together and the reason why we are celebrating. This sunday we plan to go to greenhills for the celebration and of course may kasama na ring shopping..*lol*... I'll be blogging that one here. Well, I hope they stay together forever. No more fights. Just love.

Connected at last!

We have already been approved by globelines broadband. It's been almost two weeks since we started using the phoneline. But the internet is still not working. We keep on bugging globe, calling almost everyday so they can check what's wrong. They've already sent someone but he wasn't able to fix it. My sister needed the connection because she has some schoolwork that was sent thru e-mail. Flash drives are not allowed to be used anymore because of possible virus transfer and her flash drive contains many many viruses. So as her older sister I will lend her my phone to be used as modem until the globe figures out what;s wrong with our connection. I'm not currently using my phone as modem. At first, I had a hard time figuring out how to use it. A few clicks here and there did the trick..haha.. So now I will be able to blog whenever I want, using my phone as modem. It's also cheaper. 10 pesos per 30 minutes, because i'ma smart subscriber. It's more expensive when you use globe.

It's already 2 in the morning and it's time to take my beauty rest *lol*..
